The icebreaker Samuel Risley is seen here in the Port of Thunder Bay breaking channels through the 2 foot thick ice. Thunder Bay located at the head of Lake Superior is a transhipment port for goods coming from the west by train or being delivered from the east by ship. The arrival of the Canadian Coast Guard ship the Risley, signals the beginning of another shipping season for the port.

The cards portray what Cleveland County was like in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Several communities are featured including Norman, Moore, Noble, Lexington and Box. |
