When you purchase a Timeshare, you will be purchasing units of time to spend in the vacation home that come in one week intervals over the 52 week year. The more weeks you want to spend at your timeshare, the more you will have to spend. The vacation home you purchase can be as simple as a small hotel room, a cabin in the woods, or even an RV, and it can even be as big as a castle... if you've always wanted to be a king or queen for a week or so out of the year. A Timeshare can be split among up to 51 different owners purchasing a week at their Timeshare each, leaving one week out of the year for repairs or maintenance. If you own a timeshare with 51 other owners, you own 1/51 of the unit... you are not renting, you own it at that share.
